(The Roan series consist of "Magna stain" paintings ranging in size from 6x8' to 8x14', the acrylic used is Magna as a stain in layers. Each painting is on a carpet roll. None are framed. They can be framed or hung directly to the wall).
1975 Stain (Roan series), Magna on raw canvas, 7 foot high x 10 foot wide, unstretched, POR. The image presented here has been lightened to show more of the layering. The right side of the image, although in shadow, reads more like the actual painting. The vertical fold marks are from storage and have become a component of the paintings presentation... unless the choice is to stretch it (The Roan series consist of "Magna stain" paintings ranging in size from 6x8' to 8x14', the acrylic used is Magna as a stain in layers. Each painting is on a carpet roll. None are framed. They can be framed or hung directly to the wall).
